Timothy has been involved in some aspect of photography for the last 28 years. He earned a B.S. degree in Journalism from Liberty University in 1989, and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design, with an anticipated finish of August, 2009. He has had a variety of photography-related careers, including being a newspaper photographer, public relations consultant, and a commercial portrait and wedding photographer. He currently teaches photography at Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, VA, and has been doing so for the past 14 years.
In addition to his teaching, Tim is active in numerous photography-oriented organizations, such as: the Society for Photographic Education, the National Association of Nature Photographers of America, the Carolinas’ Nature Photographers Association, and the Piedmont's Bokeh Photography Club.
Tim regularly makes himself available to instruct adults in the fields of digital photography and Photoshop, and also leads photo tours and workshops to various locations in the southeastern U.S. He frequently addresses local camera and photo clubs, as well as other civic organizations.
Some of his work is currently on display at Picture Perfect Gallery and Custom Framing in Pleasant Garden, NC; and at both locations of Tex and Shirley's in Greensboro and High Point.
