Interface

I've started some work on the interface of the game. I'm going to get that out of the way so I have something to work with. I've also decided to spend class time constructing the levels as a focus.

Thesis

I do have a design document for the whole Thesis. It's not the most recent one as that one has vanished. I'm thinking it's on my portable HD. When I find it I'll upload that one instead.

Design Doc

Basically the premise is about portable gaming and games for women/females. The two go together since most women can/do afford/play portable games more than a console game.

The game itself has a basis of "Ponyland" however I've changed the story bend from baking cupcakes to a typical RPG setting with fighting and swords.

Schedule #2?

I've been poking at the code for both editors, and hopefully I can make somthing out of them, if not my schedule looks like this:

Continue on tile and other character sprites, have those done
Have a rough level done of "Save the Mayor's Son"

Both of these by Final, by midterm I hope to have...something. if the editor is working by then, hopefully a level can be produced.

I also hope to redo re-finalize some character sketches, I plan on cutting out parts and redoing other parts. Maybe even spare a character's life.

OH I also plan to do all the music for this game. :D Well, for part of it at least. I have been informed that I don't need a full game for my thesis, just enough of the game to get an overview of what I'm talking about. Doing the full game now would also be biting off more than I can chew so I'm only going to shorten it as a means to an end. So it going to go faster than truly planned.

Schedule for the quarter:
By Midterm I hope to have something getting done, whether all the sprites done or a working area of the game done. I think I may just hold off on a battle system just yet.
