"Mediated" Macro Scripting

Objective:To create a Macro that will speed up the compositing time for screen replacement shots f or a series of related composites for a digital feature.

Mediated Macro Process and Mediated Macro Rework

Bellow is a copy of the script written to create the Macro for the screen replacement. It has been a matter of trial and error

in order to get the macro to respond appropriately.

So far I have been able to organize the inputs of the Mediated node so that there is an input for the TV foreground, its matte, a reflection image, an overlay for the TV media, and the media itself. I also created user GUI tools for corner pining and slider controls for pincushion of the overlay and the insert media. The issue that I am tackling now is how to streamline the handling of the mattes as well as changing the default on the layer node from a max to a screen operator. I also need to add aswitch matte node to the insert media tree so that a black edge can be created around the layered insert footage to better intergrate the images in the composite. NOTE: I am still missing some overlays in the images below, as well as the addition of scan line alphas.
