Matthew Hieggelke is an aspiring cartoonist currently spending half his time in Savannah, Georgia studying the art and language of comics. The other half is spent in Chicago, Illinois, where he was born on a humid summer day and wasted most of his childhood on comics, doodling, and mindless trivia.

Some of the artists who have influenced him include Will Eisner, Hergé, Jeffrey Brown, Chester Gould, Seth, and Harvey Pekar. He enjoys horror stories, old photographs, psuedoscience, and cuddling up with a good book on a rainy night.

Feel free to write to him at mhieggelke(at)gmail(dot)com or visit his sketchblog.
