For 2D Design, we worked on our final for the entire quarter. Instead of doing individual assigments, we created an illustrated book that incorporated the things we needed to learn for the class. For the first page, we had to take four black squares and manipulate them somehow to express an emotion or feeling. I placed my squares into a jagged shape, so that it feels like the viewer is looking through a broken window. We also had to introduce our theme, whether it be a character or not. Meet Stewie in his Nightmare world. At this point, I was reading Jhonen Vasquez's "Johnny the Homicial Maniac", so I think his design was influenced by that somewhat. We also had to put in a single color to make something stand out. Hence, Stewie's pink bunny slippers.
