For
the summer of 2002, I needed to do something artistic to occupy my mind from
going insane. I noticed that my dad had an extra surfboard and I asked if
I could steal it and paint something upon it (the handprint at the top is
the Balestar's trademark). So, I came up with the design of this dragon. Nothing
really special. I like the Chinese design with the more serpentine bodies
rather than the classic dragon design. But I came up with my own. Everything
on this dragon is completely unique. I first sketched it on there with pencil,
then went back over it with a fine tip Sharpie. This is stage one.
