UNIT 2 Deliverable: Initial sketches, project brief (descriptive paragraph), rough storyboards
Title: DigiTank - A Virtual Aquarium Target Audience: Casual Gamers, the project is apropriate for a wide range of ages and gaming habits. Project Brief: DigiTank is a Virtual Pet application that allows the user to keep up to four virtual fish. The initial stage involves the choices and options that will make the tank look the way the player wants to. Some of the customizable variables will include ground rocks color, choice of up to 3 decorative items in the first round (more as time passes), and up to four fish. The fish have two variables that make the game a little more interesting/complex. They rely on being well fed and being happy. Feeding is simple because it's just about feeding the fish enough but not too much. Keeping them happy is a little more complex and it involves a few different variables such as aquarium hygene, number of fish and an interesting environment created with the decor. Solutions for keeping the different varieties of fish happy can be gotten by reading the fish information blurbs and observation, these variables will be defined in a table and applied depending on the options chosen. If the first fish stays alive for a certain period of time, the user has an option of buying a second one, up to four in the same aquarium. If the fish dies, the player has to start over. |
