About this site

Aims

The left margin displays a constant index of my favorite process pieces and various projects as a 'sketchbook-in-process' of my work as a grad student at CalArts. In a way, this site is my unprofessional portfolio, until my professional portfolio is revised at put back together at my other website, nateschulman.com upon completion of my thesis.

Structure

The structure of this site was designed as a basic archival structure originally created by Daniel Eatock for Foundation 33 to compile an eclectic output of projects and break with the pigeonholing of disciplines.

All entries compiled are a combination of academic and self initiated work, so as to juxtapose differing scales of projects.

The website design is intended to be a functional template that can be navigated intuitively by all users.

The left margin displays a constant index of projects, the right provides a blank canvas to display them.

Invitation

Daniel Eatock encourages the use of this system by others who require a structure to organise and present a body of work.

Please feel free to replicate the structure.

The more websites that use this structure, the more archetypal / invisible the structure becomes, and the more emphasis placed on the content.

Please tell your friends.
